Texas CD release
dates just announced! June 5 and 6.
Yes, that's right...deep in the heart of
Texas. After Europe, we will be coming home to do a series of
incredible shows in San Antonio, at the Blue Bubble Ballroom and on our
home court in Austin, The Flamingo Cantina. We are part of a very
special show that is celebrating the release of Love I Can Feel, A
Groove for the Cure. We join legendary singers Doreen Shaffer (Skatalites)
and Clinton Fearon (Gladiators) and also our contemporaries Chris Murray,
Mr. T-bone, Contra Coup, Zema, and McPullish. All are part of this
incredible and important record, whose proceeds are being donated to

European Tour
Just Around the Corner - May 14-May 31, 2009
The Stingers are returning to Europe for
the first time since 2005, and the tour is now a month away. This
year The Stingers are touring with Austin's Contra Coup, a rhythm heavy
reggae-ska act led by Billy Geoghegan. The Stingers are out
supporting our new release This Time Around, a collection of 14 new
tunes available through Mossburg Music. While we are revisiting some
familiar towns and cities, we are also excited to do our first shows in
Amsterdam, Antwerp, Thun, Vienna and more! Please see our tourdates

The Stingers latest LP (first proper release since 2004's All
In a Day) is now available worldwide through
Mossburg Music. We are part of an exciting roster of bands and collaborative
projects on this up and coming U.S label. The album was
recorded in Austin at Tweq Freq Studios and mixed in New York City at
Strikkly Vikkly by Victor Rice. Our first support
tour begins on May 14. in Kassel, DE. We will be hitting several
European countries on this trip. Keep posted for dates and

Collaborations
galore for The Stingers:
While anticipating the release of 2008's This
Time Around, members of The Stingers kept busy appearing on various
recordings. Jonny can be heard singing backup on the new record from
The Slackers entitled Self
Medication (tracks 2, 11, and 12). In addition, Jonny recorded
lead vocals on a cover of Dylan's "Just
Like Tom Thumb's Blues"with Slackers' guitarist and NYC Ska Mob
staple Agent Jay Nugent. Billy had a very busy 2008 as well.
His own group, Contra Coup,
is just about set to release their second full length LP, which includes
several tracks co-written with Jonny, such as "Rudie
Has Fallen," a ska tribute to Joe Strummer. Finally, both
Billy and Jonny are part of the upcoming Mossburg release Love I Can
Feel, A Groove for the Cure. On this 12" several
artists got together to create original tunes set the to the reggae
classic rhythm of "Love I can Feel." Artists include
Contra Coup, Mr. T-Bone, Chris Murray, Clinton Fearon, General Smiley and
Doreen Shaffer. All of the proceeds from this album are being
